I agree, we were having a bad flu year this year....over 20,000 dead in the US and counting, I bet if you could go back and look, a certain percentage of those cases were actually the new corona virus. When you watch on the news the "spread" of corona virus, you are actually watching the spread of testing. 2 months ago we were not even testing, if you had flu like symptoms in the doctors office you were presumed to have the flu.. There is no way this started in Seattle, this probably started in CA or NY (given the global transportation system) and has been out there for months.

Where is that number coming from? And if we staff 12 crew members per airplane does that equate to 360 furloughs?

It was in JL’s email yesterday. This is just the beginning. Stand by for further cuts. Anybody’s guess on how the furloughs happen. I believe like others that they won’t happen until after the aid package is delivered and the company knows what they can and can’t afford. Good luck out there.
