I take vacation every Jun, July, Aug, Nov, Dec, and Mar the same way.

That would be a strawman argument. What is so offensive? So every pilot should get July, August, thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year off? I manipulate days off, as much as possible to achieve my best schedule, and this is wrong?

He doesn’t know. He’s retired. Notice how he’s not even talking about the lack of open time and how that was taken away from us. That affected everyone, even the super senior.
He is also disparaging our Union during contract talks, yet again by implying they are not being transparent with us.
Please don’t listen to him. I’m sure if our union knew they would be notifying everyone.

I wish the company didn’t close up all the open time. When they did, I didn’t sit in a corner and cry, I looked up who got what, made some calls, and made some trades. Not perfect, but I got what I needed that way.
I actually believe in our current union. I think a lot of good change is on the horizon because of that group!

Obviously, 35 days helps but once again that is seniority based, like you said, that is the fair way.
I am sure you try and adjust your monthly schedule, you just don’t say, “I can only fly the trips I was awarded, after all those were the trips awarded to me in seniority.” Nope you try and change any and all that would be a better deal for you in someway.

Union knows… They are trying to pitch a fix before notifying everyone.

I’m not trying to discuss this with you.
