Without it, our brand will be destroyed over the summer, irreparable harm the board can’t let happen
I feel like that ship has already sailed.. don’t you?

A deal may slow the exodus of new hires, but wont do much to ease the training backlog for proper summer staffing. I guess if they can stop the last minute cancelations and bring some confidence to the schedule, that might be enough lipstick on the pig to get through the summer without much more damage.

Are you newguys son?
I expect a UAL/ALK announcement August to September timeframe. With a merger it’s all about the equity each entity brings. If we are burning to the ground our market cap will be 4-6…. If we are performing well, I would expect it to be in the 7-9 range. The board wants to achieve the greatest value for its shareholders, to do that you need a healthy brand and company.

You say it's hard to quantify, but that's debatable. AS has lost a ton of revenue/profit opportunities due to all those cancelations since April. I'm pretty certain they have a good handle on that dollar amount.

In any case, that's irrelevant/unrelated to my point.

The reason why that billboard is in front of HQ, why there was the now infamous picketing in NY, why there was the now even more infamous system-wide April 1st picketing which was broadcast live on social media, and why we have professionally produced videos on You Tube, etc., was/is part of a campaign to bring heightened awareness to the fact that the company was/is deliberately, and unnecessarily dragging their feet in giving us the contract we deserve.

I can't tell how many times it's been said that AS is very protective of their image and hates bad publicity, so this strategy of public shaming is considered an effective choice in the range of options in the tool box.

There are many David and Goliath stories that have been won by David through the use of a smart, effective PR campaign, rather than focusing on GAAP "stuff". For us, that'll come later, if necessary.

I was being sarcastic, poking fun at Accountant-Leaders.

Ah! I got it now. The written word, without tone, and body language, is sometimes open to misinterpretion.

One thing is for sure, Constance won't find enough scabs if there is a work stoppage.

Real estate…13 JFK slots, 4 DCA transcon slots, DCA inner ring slots, LGA slots, 2 gates in DAL, Slots in SNA, more gates in LAX, prob divest current AS gates in SFO, SEA gates (with divestures). Snubbing feed from his own boss could play into it as well.
