Had a BCP actually call me and give me some grief a couple weeks ago. Same kinda story….Except it was a guy I helped…Interviewed, CJO on the spot. Been waiting for a class. Delta gave him a class in the mean time….Turns out it was all my fault…According to the bcp

That would make sense, airbus transitions all start before Nov.

There should be a bid coming out today to give more clarity on the next 6 months of hiring and classes.

Any word on that bid, and what that indicates for hiring in the near future? I’m still a very hopeful, wading in the hiring pool. Do they seem to be holding off on interviews/CJO’s/classes until the training department is less clogged with Airbus drivers training over to the 73?

The bid isn’t required to be published until the 20th. Hiring should be gearing up now that they’ve mostly cleared the bus transfers. Like others have said new hires will probably be going to SFO for the foreseeable future and ANC is taking some time to hold.

I appreciate the information all. Hopefully before too long my biggest “problem” (which I would be very thankful to have) is that I’ve got a CJO, and I just have to figure out how to commute until I can hold ANC!

Interviews and hiring will finally be ramping up again through the end of the year and on into next year, as the Airbus is done…you should be hearing something soon!

Indeed, interviewing appears to have resumed at a strong pace. About 20 of us were in SEA yesterday for the interview and at least half of that group, including me, received a CJO

It was a very smooth process from start to finish, and the entire team, including the HR folks, Chief Pilots, Check Airmen etc. went to great lengths to give us all a warm welcome and put us at ease during the interview. The interview process is exactly according to the gouge on aviationinterviews.
