I would think you would be pleased with members from the other slate on the negotiating committee representing our interests. I honestly cannot figure out what it is you want to have happen. You are not happy with the philosophy that it takes as long as it takes, or the old leadership, or the person in charge of the negotiating committee now, or members of the competing slate on the committee.

What is your ideal outcome?

I am thrilled that we actually have Allegiant pilots in their representing us. I was not a fan of Owens and the teenagers trying to represent us. I’m very happy having JR, JA, and others on the NC.

my gripe is about the teamsters. I fear they are gonna meddle and get in the way of us getting a deal that we want. I would be thrilled if GU was removed as trustee and they just let us vote for leadership.

or better yet, just bring in ALPA. If we want an industry standard contract then we need an industry standard union and that is not the teamsters.

I’ll be honest, my enthusiasm for GU has wained a little since the last meeting, and maybe you feel the same way for similar reasons. And I too think ALPA is the way to go. But I don’t think the timing is right. The moment that rushed election was announced I knew it was going to be a civil war. I feel we need a proper introduction to those pilots who might want to represent the group no matter which organization ultimately holds our membership.

Whatever happened to JR getting investigated by the FBI? Is that ongoing still?

All the drama's over & the dust has settled and what's different? About to start trudging through the scheduling sections apparently with the goal of fundamentally changing how Maury runs the airline. Industry standard or better. It will take as long as it takes. Find a comfortable chair.

Almost every union email has something about keeping and adhering to the company's unique ops and business model, not trying to change it. I don't see the words industry standard used in these emails.

When is the strike vote?

Yeah, when is the completely meaningless strike
vote? The RLA handcuffs labor so ridiculously bad. Company could not care less about our strike vote, as it would be years before it might mean something.
