As far as I’ve been told, you can actively print and sign a card at any point. We shouldn’t tolerate it any longer.
The card drive didn’t just end. Idk where people got that info. Instead of signing a card all of these guys will go, “bad timing in the middle of negotiations, just a few more months.” in those few months we could easily have ALPA on property, negotiating a real contract and acting like a real union, instead of this circus with “union experts” whose only real experience is binding arbitration. But yes, let’s continue to wait for the circus to play out |

But yes, let’s continue to wait for the circus to play out today management has the perfect “foe” because GU and MG have the same goal but for different reasons: delay getting a deal done. MG doesn’t want a deal for obvious cost considerations. GU doesn’t want a deal because he knows once we get a deal there is nothing stopping the ALPA the train. GU only has one card to play and that is to wait and pray for another cataclysmic event to trigger a hiring spree by the legacies so attrition picks up and management is desperate for a deal. GU needs a legacy+ homerun contract to keep us from going with ALPA and the only way we get that is with another Covid apocalypse type event. |

You wait, if the cars drive really got going, management and GU would collaborate and make sure it dies. ALPA is MG and management’s nightmare scenario.

Remember one thing, GU has zero interest in a single thing besides syphoning our dues into he and his buddies pockets for as long as he can. We saw it in 1224 and we’re seeing it now. GU does not care if we’re the lowest paid pilots, GU does not care if we have atrocious work rules, GU only cares about making sure he rules with an iron fist and we never leave his control. Short answer: GU and the IBT are f*cking Allegiant pilots. |

I think historically you’d be correct, management would hate ALPA. But that said, I think at this point they would welcome having actual adults in the room. I don’t believe we’re dealing with the same Allegiant we were dealing with during our pre-union and pre-CBA days. Once you put the emotions aside and look at the people now calling the shots, this is a new company. Give them time to prove it and I think they will. (Spare me on the management clown horsesh*t)

What kind of pathetic sycophant drinks GU’s kool aid like that? JR is a huge disappointment. He’s a wolf in sheep’s clothing who never wants to fly another plane and wants to play politician (who calls fatigue when they haven’t worked for a week because their dog kept them up at night?). JR is this contract’s C Graff. He’s using negotiations for his own pet projects like unlimited paid fatigue calls and 18 hour call outs. Even people in the NC are getting tired of his ego (who has to stay in a separate hotels and eat at special restaurants than the rest of the team???) he pulled the wool over my eyes. I saw AR coming from a mile away but I thought JR had a chance to really take this local to the next level but he’s not even hiding it anymore. Telling the pilots that everything he said during the election was just “campaign speak” and that none of that matters. WTF? Huge disappointment. |

I’m still skeptical about the new management thing, MG is still chairman of the board. I’d be thrilled to be wrong but I think management is loving the union dysfunction and the cheap rates.

The challenge with our pilot group now is almost 50% weren’t here during CBA 1.0. They don’t understand that we’ve seen this same thing before. Shoot, half of that 50% were probably in high school in 2016. This is their first dance and they’ll be damned if those of us who’ve been there and done that tell them how to think. We have an incredibly uneducated pilot group in regard to industry knowledge and labor workings. GU knows this and he exploits it. When he gets questioned or threatened, he immediately goes on the attack like a crazed maniac. I truly believe that the tide is turning. I think enough of the right people are starting to pull the wool from over their eyes and ask “what the f*ck is actually going on?” But only time will tell. Right now? We remain the lowest paid airbus pilots in the good old US of A. |

At this rate, it’s easier to believe there was some collusion between GU and JR during the election than Allegiant taking 5 737’s in 2025.

Ah yes, it finally happened. Did some of your wives spend a little bit much on Black Friday and now we're starting the "what if" pay scenarios?

I'll preface by saying this, use your brains and not your emotion when you read and subsequently respond to this comment.
It's time we look in the mirror and ask ourselves what on earth is going on with our pilot group. For almost a year now, we've let an outsider come in and tell us what is best for us. GU has not been an airline pilot in almost a decade and even worse, he has never been a pilot at Allegiant. Yet somehow, this career politician has gaslit 1,400 pilots into thinking he knows best and is deserving of our blind trust. When GU failed us during our time in Local 1224, we all eagerly ran to support the creation of our own Local. Most, if not all of the deficiencies of our current 9 year old CBA can be traced back to GU's ineptness. Now to mitigate repeating his same mistakes, he has appointed a team of negotiators who possess absolutely zero negotiating experience. In addition to this glaring lack of expertise, JR himself has admitted that he's a liar. When asked about principles he campaigned on, his response was to denounce this question as irrelevant due to it simply being "campaign material". GU and his own appointed negotiating counsel's most recent victory? A contract for Atlas through binding arbitration. This is simply unacceptable. In recent weeks, several critcal questions have been raised: -An updated CBA Survey: For almost a month, GU and his team have stated that in the next few days a new CBA survey will again be released. Over a week ago, we were told this survey was "in it's beta form" and would be ready in the coming days. Here we are, nearing 2025 with a committee that evidently cannot produce a simple survey while having each member off on full time flight pay loss. Why do we not yet have this survey? -No New Dates: The last negotiating sessions with the NMB were now over a month ago. In the time since, what has been done by the negotiating committee? Publicly? Seemingly nothing. For the sake of transparency, we should demand to begin seeing a weekly NC agenda proving to us that their use of FPL is justified. This is especially critical on the heels of GU's own critique of AR's use of FPL. (more on that in a moment) -Flaundering Communications: GU promised improved communications, yet communications have significantly regressed since his presence commenced. As the due paying members of this Local, we should demand a weekly recap from the Trustee outlining the work undertaken throughout the preceeding week to set our local back on the path of self governance. Additionally, we should demand a weekly recap from vital committees such as the negotiating committee, safety committee, and others as deemed necessary. This is particullarly critical when members of the committee are out on flight pay loss. -Questionable Flight Pay Loss: In this last week's bid package, it was noted that several members of the Negotiating Committee are placed on Flight Pay Loss on Holidays such as Christmas and New Years. It is vital that we members be provided proof that their respective committees are indeed partaking in Union Work on these holidays. We must remind each other that we control this Local. We are the Due Paying members and even a politician such as GU must respect the wishes of Allegiant Pilots. It is more important now than ever that we shift the focus of finding an enemy from internally to externally.

I agree with the previous consensus. A lot of guys I talk with all express the same concern, the impact on negotiations. That said, are we even negotiating anymore? |
