info

we all know how teamsters does in binding arbitration, it’s not too late to turn this around

Binding arbitration is a terrible idea. It's literally the union giving up. An arbitrator can impose whatever they think is "fair" and arbitrators lean heavily for management. It could be less than the mailer given the economy now. Best case scenario is he splits the baby and gives concessions to both sides. I'd do everything I could to oppose this. You'll be miserable for 4 years+

As for Tom I think everyone knws he isn't in the loop any more. Is he even still running G4PAF?

I think you’re being optimistic there. The last “mailer” they sent us was pretty much a year ago. A lot has changed since then, and none of it in our favor. The company has zero obligation to those rates. If we wanted them, we had our chance. If we go down the road of binding arbitration, expect rates to match places like Spirit, Sun Country, and Breeze. Not exactly pay scales I want to look forward to working under for the next undetermined number of years.

No way. No binding arbitration. The union won’t agree to it and I doubt the company would either. It would be safer to just agree to the last mailer, but that’s not happening.

The loss was stunning to Atlas the last time this was tried not that long ago, and they are Teamsters.

PS there is no ALPA drive, they couldn’t even be bothered to identify themselves.
