Haven’t talked to single a flight attendant who thinks their cba is far below the rest of the industry. Most I talk to are thrilled they have a new contract because they know rocky the industry is getting…

I’ve seen some dirty things from the company before, but this LAX closure stuff might top the list. That’s not how you treat your people. I thought this management team wanted to be “different” from the old ones. Guess not.

You gonna ride that "My union speaks for me" death spiral all the way to the ground? |

This goes way beyond union politics and pi**ing matches. It’s enough of a slap in the face to get your base closed, but to then be told you can’t exercise seniority rights and also good luck moving with no expenses paid?? Allegiant better hope we’re headed into a very long recession. If not, as soon as hiring picks up again the flood gates will open from this place. Wouldn’t blame them one bit either. Why stay here and be treated like dirt when there are much better alternatives?
Pretty pathetic if they are going to try and stick with this policy this time. Definitely not industry standard. |

you’re clueless if you think management looks bad right now. The LAX pilots are not mad at management, they’re furious at Greg. That should tell you all you need to know. |

They tried the same thing back in 2020ish when they closed VBD. They tried to tell the VBD pilots they could only bid open vacancies and not exercize seniority rights. After an uproar the union got them a "one time exception" to industry standard displacement rights. I remember several pilots at the time saying this would be a terrible precedent to set that could effect everyone else at some point.
Pretty pathetic if they are going to try and stick with this policy this time. Definitely not industry standard. Management sent the same MOU to Greg for the LAX base and Greg refused to sign it. We know this because yesterday he sent a timeline of everything that happened and the MOUs to the LAX pilots. He effed this one up because he never even read the contract that he negotiated which doesn’t count base closures as a displacement (truly ridiculous). Honestly it probably is a typo in the contract but the words are the words and base closures are not a displacement. Management tried to do the same deal on LAX that they did with VBD and AUS but Greg wanted positive space/commuter allowance, hotel costs, rental cars, money for early lease terminations, daily stipends, etc. all things I agree with but not when there’s a corporate layoff, and early outs for crew members. The economy is in the tank, and Greg couldn’t be more tone deaf. |

Greg has lost this pilot group forever. There are no fence sitters now. Never seen such an uproar from every single pilot in a base. LAX guys are furious with Greg and to a lesser extent JR.

(Heard from two LAX guys that JR is the one egging Greg on not to sign the deal and to insist on stuff that he knew management would never agree to) The only unreasonable party once again is the company with their idea of Neg is to send a Doc already signed with the rules they wish to play by with the expectations that the union just accept sign and return. |
