What was that comment about checking union communications before going to work?
BTW: does that mean email, text, or is there a website I now need to check?
If the NMB did grant our proffer, doesn't that require a 30 day cooling off period?

There are 2 ways to legally strike. Release from the NMB is just one of them. Stay tuned for more info (via email) on the other one. I'm not going to divulge it here.

Long term employment security, and eventually having a work schedule that you can plan for, are two reasons I can think of. Not looking to put words in his mouth, individual/unique considerations for everyone's situation. I'd be interested in hearing his response as well.

I've flown both 121 and corporate. Here are my cons and pros of the corporate world.
Cons
1. The average life of a corporate flight department is 4 years-often times you're bouncing from job to job.
2. You're always on call and have no life. You typically need to live no more than two hours away from the airplane
3. The client(s) constantly keeping you waiting. They can and will change their mind in an instant. Often times I've found myself in Europe for an extra week or two. I have had them change their destination many times while in flight.
4. You can't just walk away from the airplane after you land.
5. You have to throw bags, do you own flight planing, kiss ..., etc just to name a few.
6. No jump seat privileges. These are just a few of my dislikes.
Pros
1. The flying is much more challenging than 121.
2. Meet a lot of neat people.
I am burned out on cooperate flying and really want nothing to do with it. I would much rather fly 121 (thought I'll make less money for the first few years). To me it's well worth making the switch to a 121 carrier.
