Gallagher doesn't like unions, so he refuses to work with them in any way? Like them or not, I'm pretty sure they've been a part of this industry for a little longer than he has. Sounds like your CEO needs a swift kick in the nuts while having a military drill instructor yell at him to grow the F up instead of whining like a little 2 year old.

I wish you all the best of luck! Hang that idiot high enough for all of the many childish CEOs in this industry to take notice.

It’s the same old Lorenzo wannabees. They tell us how much they ‘appreciate us’, yet their actions tell us otherwise. You simply can’t believe a word. They have enjoyed unfettered access to our pocket books and quality of life, in order to grow their shareholder value.

Hi I've read the last 20 pages or so, hope everything works out for you guys you deserve it!

I've been interested in joining G4, more because of the no over nights deal. I realize classes are being split between each base and its hard to predict where a new hire would be based, ideally if I were to get a job I'd like something out west. BLI, Mesa Az, LAS, OAK. How long would that take to hold? Are there any airplanes being added for growth? Or is it just for Attrition ?
My wife and I are both pilots, and trying to make it to someplace to have a good qol and see each other. Would the current pilots recommend G4 as a decent place to hang your hat for awhile? are there husband/wife combo's at g4? I've read the horror stories of TDY out of base for months at a time, that part scares me a bit. But the idea of being home everynight partially overweights that.

Thanks for the help,
RT

I know of two pairs of husband and wife pilots that worked here.

One the husband left and the wife stayed. The other they both left.

Take that for what you will.

One interesting tidbit the company was spamming our union leaders and the ibt, last Wednesday with supposed passenger complaints. Hopefully they get that fixed for next time..

The only thing junior out West is Oakland, and for FOs, IWA actually isn't that senior (for CA's its very senior).

For couples, I know of a few (married and un-married). The thing that makes a difference it seems is if you both have the same seniority, if one person is junior (as either CA or FO) expect TDYs and a long distance relationship. If your both down with living in FL for a few years it might be okay.

The horror stories are not exaggerated. There have been at least 2 husband/wife couples that have all (4) left, in order to have a better QOL. There has also been at least 2 pilots that are married to other airline pilots, that have also left in order to have a better QOL with their spouses.

If you're looking for any sort of QOL (married to a pilot or not), this is not the place to find it. You will be home more at an airline that has overnights than as even a middle-seniority G4 pilot.
