Unity is coalescing nicely. Early reports are high numbers for opening day voting. We may actually finish voting earlier than the 16th. With this job market, improving economy and cheap oil; I for one would like to go out with a bang. Give us the contract we demand, or lets burn the house down on the way out.

Mock vote had 3 out of over 500 pilots.

Out of the 3, only one was unexpected. The other 2 consisted of an EAL SCAB and a senior guy who thinks MG can do no wrong.

Any word on when a release from mediation might happen?

You're the RELEASEmaster so I figured you would know! Sorry, couldn't resist.

In a perfect world? At the end of this month, but realistically it may be a bit later. We're going to be negotiating again at the end of Jan, but this time we will have strike vote results in hand that will make Reagan's 1984 victory look like a close call. They will have yet another opportunity to actually negotiate with us instead of whatever they've BEEN doing for the past 2 years. While we all want an agreement, I think most of us know what is really going to happen.

Actually, negotiations happen prior to the strike vote being closed.

I stand corrected. I thought that negotiations were the week of the 19th.

It's the week before. It's the 14th-16th.
