That is correct. When the 2 new bases were opened it caused some weird movement allowing some very junior upgrades. Even with that, upgrades are running at about 12-18 months on the 80 and 2-3 years on the bus, depending on your base. Many upgrades have been awarded at less than 12 months but by the time you go to upgrade you will see 12-18 months. The VBD goes junior with the 80 and its a crap shoot with the bus. The 75 is going most junior because they are only HNL based and at $41 an hour it's tough to live in Hawaii. New hires are definitely getting the bus but it's all based on needs of the company and then seniority within the class (determined by age). Florida bus is a very good possibility in every class but where in FL is always a guess.

Those getting the calls for interviews I would say to take it if you are sitting at your regional with no other options. There are some serious problems here but the pilot group is great and united for a solution. At this point the positives still out weigh the negative.

Reminds me of the time that Jesse Jackson said he got a call from the "Taliban" wanting to negotiate.

When asked how he knew it was from the "Taliban" he said that he actually missed the call but "*69'd them" and it came back as "the Taliban".

Or at least that was SNL's take on it...

Understatement of the year! Even Island Air flying DH's make $38/hr plus a $12K bonus if you stay the whole year!

No, I did not. But I figured that I will wait a bit longer before I start panicking.
