Allegiant pilots are some of the best in the industry. Why? Because they HAVE to be.

Our MX guys are good and skilled guys who fix things and I've never had to declare min fuel because dispatch supposedly shorts us. I've had the opposite experience, plenty of good, aware and in the loop dispatchers who take care of us.
Life is good and getting better (contract will happen).

If anyone wants any information on the real life of allegiant pilots then send me a message.
Didn't they fire a guy though for a perfectly justifiable passenger evacuation. I think I just donated some money to his go fund me account so that he can survive while he fights for his job back for making a safe decision.

I think that they are trying to poach Republic pilots....and they're doing quite well.

I think they fired a guy as an F.U. to the union. Pretty pathetic to try and ruin someone's career and life over contract negotiations, but our upper management has proven time and time again they don't care about much beyond the price per share.

Way more to the story than what has been posted. I only know a small amount of details but many of the additional details I have been told has not been published here. Just keep it in mind when reading the stuff on here. There are all ways 3 sides to the story, the pilots, the company's and the truth. Until a full safety investigation is released I think this is not a good case to use to beat our drum. The broken elevator in LAS or many of the other confirmed engine malfunctions leading to shutdowns are better examples of our budget cut maintenance.

You mean the air return, overweight landing and evacuation of a perfectly good airplane on a taxiway? Yes, he got fired. Blew both bottles into good engines. Nothing wrong with the airplane at all. Rumors went insane over this one but you could pick this one to apart with all the bad decisions or say he did the conservative thing. It was a huge mistake, let's not defend bad decisions....our union didn't. The history of allegiant is filled with guys who should have been fired four times over but stick around. It's very hard to get fired here and the guys who have, really gave the company a silver platter full of reasons.

Wait a minute....
Be careful how you share your joy of getting PIT CA. There are more senior people at the company who bid for the position but for reasons beyond their control were not awarded the position.

For the rest of the folks... Thunderpig nailed it. This could be a great place to work... Time (and a contract) will be the telling factor of how things will be in the future.
