I just applied with 1550 TT and a year at the regionals. No word. How junior is the Mesa base?

Not sure about the Mesa base, as I'm going off our last seniority list. These questions are difficult because it all depends on the company's needs.

At 1,500 TT, I would suggest going to the job fairs and speaking with one of the CPs directly. They can guide you better than I.

If you can upgrade at your current airline and get 1000 PIC that would be better for your overall career

You realistically need double your current hours to be competitive at Allegiant I may be mistaken but I think the low end has been 2500 Total time hired and average is closer to 4000 to 5000 with some PIC

How have you been at the regionals for a year and only have 1,500 TT. W-T-F over? That's barely enough time to fly a decent pattern in a 172, lol

He probably got a restricted ATP with 1000 TT by graduating from one of those fancy schools and then flew 550 in a year at a regional.

If you don't get the call, reapply periodically. We're not there yet but it probably won't be long before 1500 hour pilots become our candidate pool. We are getting less resumes and many of the ones we get are not what the company is hoping for. The saying is that there will never be a pilot shortage for the legacies. Probably true, but the rest will suffer. We are seeing it already at the regionals. Competition is getting stiff and will only get worse.

Just a 1000 or 2 RJ time is all you need now. They're losing the candidates to your HR. They don't follow up or are completely inept with people they hire giving the impression that Allegiant is another regional airline.

I'd love to wait around for an upgrade, but as of now the company isn't looking too hot and current upgrade is 3-4 years. So I'm looking out for my own best interests and trying to get out quick as I can.

Looks like we're in the market for a new VP of flight ops. The current VP just "retired." Hmmm

'Bingo' has been shown the door eh? Wonder how that's going to play on negotiations? Also wonder if the drawn-out negotiations & his fostering of the current working climate played a part, too!? Hmmm....
