That may or may not be true. When the chips are down, G4’s own cheap-disorganized inefficient testing department couldn’t train themselves out of a wet paper bag. This fact will bode well for our side. E.G., a little two week government shutdown, which de-qualed a small portion of their pilot group. Sent the whole place into a tizzy. The effect of which has taken months to recover. Good luck to them (Not!!) training over 300 pilots at once.

Even a Major Airline with an organized training department couldn't do that, much less one that lets scheduled sim periods go unfilled.

I heard regional FOs get called with a year or two of sic time but had over 3k. Will they hire with less than 3000 if it's mostly jet sic? Before you say anything allegiant makes a whole lot of sense for regional FOs, going to allegiant is considered a step up. If you're a captain it's a downgrade in pay for a while.
