I'm sure it's as well thought out as our growth plans when we purchased the 757s... or the Airbus... or Merlot... or opened GRR... or heard the FAA inspection was coming last year... or any of the last few bid results (the last had 3 revisions and still awarded more positions than advertised)....

If they hire 80, then maybe 40-50 will remain after groundschool has finished.

I wonder if there will be displacements due to the fact that everyone must input their preferences. Historically, if you were in the base and seat that you wanted to be in, you didn't have to input anything. Could it be possible that some people will not be able to hold the seat they are currently in? Who knows.....

The reason you have to input your bid is because they have to reference the standing bid list to manually do the awards. Half the pilots still dont list the current seat and base they are in and it makes it more difficult to do the awards. Obviously they do it manually so inputting your current seat via a new standing base bid is the only way to force people to update.
No displacements people. .. just poor technology. This is one of the reasons vacancies have been misawarded in the past.
Where did the displacement rumor start anyway?

What's the over/under on the number of revisions to this bid award? I'm saying at least 3. Anybody else want some action?
