Don't get your hopes up for anything good to come from the 1224 other then collecting your dues. Take a look at the gem of CBA they got Omni and do the exact opposite of what we got. Yes the pilot group voted yes by a minimum of 51% but it was heavily pushed on us by the 1224.
We were fed the same lines of bs; "this is a first contract" and "this is as good as it gets" from the top down at 1224 and our contract has so many loop holes and grey areas its embarrassing.
Good luck to you guys at Allegiant and I hope you pilot reps are sharp and on the ball when it comes to dealing with management and the 1224.

I do long haul, and so 95 hours can be done in 4-5 trips.. but if you're hopping around 2-5 hour legs, that can be torture.

Interesting quote from a recent AP article:
" Maurice J. Gallagher, Jr., CEO Allegiant Travel Co.: "The next five years will be all about increasing automation and decreasing labor cost. The industry is already implementing mobile boarding passes, bag drops, even self-boarding. These processes will become more prevalent and significantly reduce the number of employees the customer needs to interact with."

They were also going to build an EFB that we were going to sell to other companies, turned out to be a piece of crap. Aside from the practical realities of making these things work, it is a great insight into the thoughts of our CEO/President, whatever he is now. He is damn near a billionaire. Allegiant has been consistently profitable. That's still not enough. Instead of focusing on improving our product and rewarding those who have helped the company get here, he focuses on how to screw just a few more minimum wage workers out of a job. Just damn, these upper management types are sick with greed. It's pathological.
He sounds like a graduate if the Delford Smith school of airline management. Del would be proud.
