Little birdie told me policy is about to change, that hotel accomodations will be provided for new hires in training. Not official yet tho. Perhaps too many good people going other places is forcing them to up the ante?

Congratulations! Relax, be yourself & enjoy the process...we need you!

By the way, you love Allegiant and really don't have strong feelings one way or the other as far as unions go.

I saw the latest JC MYR TDY email where Pilots will be offered "hotel accommodations" and individual rental cars for the MYR TDYs. They should throw in the bonus '-80 TDY grand,' too!!

During training, the Dec and Jan classes were put into hotels during sims. Mostly because half the class went to MIA for sims and EN said they were offering the LAS sim folks hotels out of fairness. Hopefully, now that APDs are qualified to do initial type-rides, ground school and sims will regain some semblance of a 'normal' footprint of about 2 months, or so. Dec and Jan classes had to deal with many training delays because of FAA scheduling, sim mx, and company APD qualifications, so our footprint is looking more like Bigfoot's! The last of the Dec class folks are beginning IOE. Jan is split between sims and IOE now, too.

My 1st assignment off of IOE was TDY to a different FL base than I was originally assigned to Maybe I'll get someone back home to the West from a long, arduous TDY assignment. Guess it's my turn in the barrel, now! My Merlot bids should be simple...just bidding days off here and there.

Any word yet on the company changing their new hire hotel policy? Also wanted to know how long you could expect to be on reserve in SFB or PIE? Is the average line value really over 100 hours?

This should be seen as a warning sign.
