Do they have the same problem with the Airbus sims? Any future Airbus classes scheduled?

 

As for Airbus classes, all I can say is: Maybe. Rumor has it the June one was cancelled. Don't know when the next one is scheduled for.

 

So, are these 757s an addition to our fleet and new flying, or are we turning into a leasing company?

ALLEGIANT TRAVEL COMPANY FINANCES SIX 757 AIRCRAFT

LAS VEGAS. May 30, 2014 -Allegiant Travel Company (NASDAQ: ALGT) today announced that it has borrowed $40.0 million under a loan agreement with CIT secured by six 757 aircraft and twelve RB211 engines. The notes payable issued under the loan agreement bear interest at a floating rate based on London Interbank Offered Rate ("LIBOR"). The term of the loan is 48 months and the proceeds are to be used for general corporate purposes.

"We are very pleased to be able to access the market at competitive rates," said Andrew C. Levy, Allegiant Travel Company President and Chief Operating Officer. "We continue to demonstrate that there is strong financing demand for used aircraft which is the life blood of our company. This transaction is also evidence of our commitment to the 757 and the positive contributions that it is making to the Allegiant fleet."

 

If anything i thought you were going to let the 757 rot??

 

I think they are refinancing the current fleet of 757's, which were for sale, the last I knew.

 

This is correct. We owned the 6 outright and are just taking a loan out on them at a low rate so we can have cash to acquire more Airbus ( or whatever else) if we can find a deal. It's a 4 year term on the loan so unless they pay it back early, we'll be keeping the 757's a awhile longer.

 

Does anyone know if calls for interviews have stated again? Or are the simulator issues holding them back from putting more people in the pipeline?
