Can anyone tell me if an OAL pilot can jumpseat on a flight from PIT to CUN or other MEX charter locations on Allegiant?

Since it's a charter flight, nope, no jumpseaters non-revs etc. allowed. Stupid, but it's Apple Vacations' call.

Go so SFB on the -80, your chances of getting it ASAP are much better and your chances of getting TDY'd are much worse. The JR SFB Airbus guys get screwed.

Hey fellas, I just hit my 3000 hours about a month or so ago, rj fo Texas based looking to step into something different and would love to get some time in the 80. What's the outlook like here and the schedule I understand is mostly locals with baseless first year? Just want a quick overview of what it's like here and is there a possibility of staying in Texas for this gig? Thanks! Droops

No possibility for staying Texas. Commuting is not an option unless you are in the top 1 or 2 guys. It is all day trips so you will be home every night. Don't expect more than 2 days off in a row and you will end late on your day before a day off and start early on your day back after a day off. If you are on reserve in Florida you cover the whole state. No work rules outside of the FARs. Seniority is not honored for schedule bidding and see the debacle for quarterly base bids in the previous posts. You have to be prepared for any plane to any base. If you are ok with all of that then you would be good. I gave you the worst of what I have experienced so if you can accept all of this you will be fine. Good luck.
