I'm assuming you're at Silver. Sorry to tell you this, but Allegiant won't hire guys from Silver. I'm not exactly sure why, but I heard straight from the mouth of a certain member of management that they won't bother with Silver guys.

I agree with the living in base part. I have never been TDY'd though. Straight out off of IOE I was getting mixed and pure lines. I have never had a month of straight reserve. Usually more senior guys bid reserve in the slow months as a "vacation" since you're not likely to get used much.

This is because Allegiant can afford to be selective. 😂

Silver has a lot of really good pilots with experience hand flying 1900s and Saabs down to minimums. I'm proud to write that I'm one of them. Several have recently moved on to JetBlue and United, both of which are very selective in who they hire. But, I believe Allegiant will be a better fit for me for my other business interests and I hope to get the opportunity to work there. With the industry hiring that's going on now, pilots too can be selective where they wish to work. For all those with informative and positive responses - Thanx. For all those with negative responses - why do you even bother?

Saratoga,
Do not be discouraged by the said comment posted earlier on. Please apply and update your pilot application regularly and as previously stated, visit the hiring/information sessions G4 hosts, if you can. There is more than one person in management here. Plus, the hiring is done in conjunction with HR and a few members of the Training dept. Online applications are pulled by interns(who are coached what to look for) and HR for further consideration by flight ops management when specific selection criterias are triggered. Flight ops management personnel here are fair, aware of the current hiring envrionment and smart enough not to paint everyone the same, regardless of an individual agenda.
If you do get to a selection level by management, your keen desire to work at G4 and that you're already living at one of their large bases (I am assuming FL), will not go un-noticed.
Cheers.

Job fair is not required. Bottom line, they don't waste any time, they probably don't go through old resumes etc.. Whatever comes in fresh is what they pick so long as you are qualified or what they are looking for.
