Pretty $h1tty since the Co set the precedent last year including ALL employees in the half-a$$ 3/4 year profit share. Now J.B. pulls the rug out?? Way to go; polarize this Pilot group even more!!

As I was reading the email I was curious how they could afford to pay all employees a 10% bonus with only 3% of the quarterly profit. I guess it's pretty easy when you exclude the most highly paid employee group.

Heard from a good source that an Allegiant pilot was hired at Delta yesterday. Maybe there isn't much truth to the rumor that they won't hire Allegiant guys.

I don't imagine there was ever any truth to that rumor. Airlines are competing for ever-evaporating talent. A quality company like Delta would be foolish to arbitrarily disregard an entire airline worth of high quality pilots such as those working at G4. As a bonus, Delta could probably save money on sim training as Allegiant pilots have already seen it all.

Expect many more to be getting calls from reputable carriers soon. My airline has changed its hiring standards, others are too. The pendulum has swung.

Companies have done a lot more stupid things that cost them a lot more. I don't believe much that I hear but I also don't discredit it. I just personally hadn't heard of anyone until now. Agrees that companies may soon will be adjusting min quals to get candidates. SW dropping 737 and rumor is soon the 1000 TPIC, delta may drop the college degree requirement (pure speculation), FedEx dropped 1000 TPIC I believe as well.

There were two guys back in 06-07 that went to Delta. More recently I hear there was one that interviewed but did not get hired, and another that interviewed, did get hired, but for personal reasons elected to decline.

Delta does have a reputation for military preference, but it's not exclusive. The military simply doesn't put out as many pilots as they used to, so like the rest, they're having to be less selective.

There's no truth to that. If you are what delta, united, or American is looking for you'll get a call. Plenty from allegiant have been hired and plenty more will be.

Hi, can anyone explain the quarterly base bidding process. The 2016 winter quarter bid is out, with dates of Aug 2016 or Sept 2016 by each pilots award. I assume that is the month one would be scheduled to fly in their new base? or could/would the base be assigned sooner, meaning you will be transferred by then at the latest? Secondly, I assume there is no base trading option between pilots themselves? Thanks for the info, Fred
