I have seen the meet and greets posted on Allegiant's web site on the careers page. I think it's right there on the main page (of the careers section), so no search required. Otherwise, I've always seen them on my old company's forum, express jet. There's a guy there that starts a new thread for each upcoming event. If you type in Express Jet pilots forum, in google, you'll find it and you can parooze it there. I think they usually occur about once per quarter but I believe the hiring is slowing this year and next so they may be less frequent. I heard only 50 more for this year... let's hope that's wrong.

As far as switching aircraft... I get asked this question a lot, so I'll try to be as specific as I can in the very non specific way allegiant does things. First and foremost, there is A 2 YEAR SEAT LOCK on all aircraft. So there's your direct answer, you'll have to stick with your fleet for 2 years before you can bid over to another. Now... as you know, there's no contract here, yet, so the company can do whatever they want. There have been plenty of occasions where they'll let someone move over to a different fleet (and usually a different base along with it) just because they have the need for it. The other guaranteed way is if your entire base switches fleets. You know that Allegiant is trying to go all Airbus as soon as possible, so if you land in a base that is scheduled to transition over to the bus sooner rather than later, you'll go right along with it. Moving bases here has not been terribly difficult in the recent past. There's enough movement and growth, it has kept base movements very fluid (there's a quarterly bidding process). That could all change; and as I said, I believe growth and hiring is projected to slow a bit in 16 and 17.

Hope that helps, as always, subject to change. Flexibility is the name of the game at this airline, keep that in the back of your head.

feel free to call/text with questions.

been a week already? Allegiant should be like one of those work sites that has signs showing the number of days since the last on-the-job injury, except use inflight emergencies instead. 😝

Like the F/O in PIT wearing captain's wings that told a guy on a commute flight that he was giving type rides to his new hire classmates?

Default Sad Papaw

Glad to see ALG is going to be accommodating the sad Papaw burger guy and his family to Florida. I'm curious to see how this plays out and how much it eventually costs Papaw to get there and get back home.

Are you talking about FR? He is a captain now. That guy has boatloads of PIC in the Bus. He really knows his stuff and is a good dude. Since he is management, I assume he was always a captain and the seniority list was probably wrong.
