Buddy of mine is looking to return to 121 flying as well as return to the Sarasota area. How junior is Punta Gorda? What aircraft type would be likely - MD or Airbus at PGD?

One of the most junior if not the most junior base. It's all bus now. If he's over 35 there is a pretty good chance he would get it. Most FOs do a touch and go at PGD before moving somewhere else they wanted originally.

Best news of the year was that moron BL leaving as the Director of Training, not sure how he's going to like flying with guys he's been screwing over for several years. Now we have SL and BM out as Base CPs? Rumors that MG is going to get axed if he doesn't take the recall over the PIE debacle?

With one of our most senior pilots leaving to head to SWA after being a huge player in the contract talks...seriously, ***?

Maybe some long overdue changes will be forthcoming. Meanwhile, back at the ranch many vacations and other travel plans were messed up by various unfortunate events. Passengers on some of the cancelled flights were told it was due to "Operational Needs of the company".

Bob's been doing everything he possibly can to avoid actually flying for most of his career. Unless he manages to slide into another non-flying position, -which I've heard is unlikely- I tend to believe that his return to the line will make him a short-timer.

I understand that he was wisely denied the chance to become a sim instructor. We should all thank our preferred deity for that.
