Yeah they got it 2 weeks ago. From the few FA's I've talked to, only one of them was going to vote yes. It seems to be geared on longevity - the senior FA's are very disappointed but the new-hires, which consists of more than 50% of the group, will probably vote for it. According to those that talked about it.

Some things have gotten worse with the contract work-rule wise, such as airport reserve, etc. But I honestly don't know much about that, just what the FA's are griping about.

It's in the contract. No training events on Christmas or New Year's. I wouldn't expect anything more than that.

Rumor has it that all 16 will be MD-80

If true that will be the last -80 class for the year, also hearing 14 additional airbuses have been purchased to be announced OCT 1 with deliveries beginning Jan 2017. This will surely expedite the rate of -80 retirement, this may be the last new hire class to get the -80.

No way... there will be plenty more MD80 new hire classes.

There are 13 new-hires in the September class that started on the 19th. Where are you guys getting this rumor of more MD-80 slots?
