We are much more likely to see a big % increase in the seniority list at G4 than almost any other airline. At 800 pilots, the CVG style business model could easily be replicated in several medium sized cities, and LAS/SFB have a lot of potential cities that don't currently have service. There's also expansion into Mexico and who knows where else internationally.

What are the most likely bases for newhires these days? What about IWA, LAX or SFB? Which one likely: Airbus or MD80 for those 3 base options?

Last NH class

5 LAX vacancies (almost all went to the most junior of the class).
2 FLL vacancies
3 PGD
2 CVG

Thanks for the update Beretta. Sounds like LAS is a definite MD80 seat and maybe IWA and SFB are not junior.

If you get MD80, how does that impact your ability to bid another base using the Airbus? Is there an initial seat lock that restricts bases changes to those with the same fleet type?

There is a two year equipment lock, not seat lock as an FO.

If you want to stay at G4, don't worry about the MD80. Everyone will be on the airbus in 2 years. If you want to come and go, this probably isn't the best place anyway. Upgrade will be slow for the next 18 months as everyone gets churned into the airbus. After that it will be LAX, VBD, and whatever new base opens up.

Does anyone know of a crash pad in PGD or the surrounding area? Will appreciate any info.

Thanks.
