I think the May 8th class will be all J31's. You did hear we picked up the JANET flying out of Vegas and the J31's had a higher margin than the 737??

Welcome aboard.

Don't say that too loudly or they'll try to junior man them into the new fleet.

Default Allegiant Corporate Culture?

Don't mean to hijack the thread at all, but a quick query:

A non-pilot friend is considering working at Allegiant and is curious about the corporate culture at Allegiant, both in HQ amongst the cubicles/offices and out on the line.

If anyone has a free couple minutes in which to PM me some info or post a bit here, I would be appreciative.

I have no personal or professional connections to the organization, so thank you in advance for any info.

Does your friend like to participate in cute pet contests? Do they like to avoid phone calls outside of the local exchange? Does he find emails from the workers he supports a "nuisance"? Does he like to solve problems by creating new ones for the person he is trying to help? Do they like to throw around catch phrases like "Biased for Action!, Transparent!, Flexibility!"? Does your friend think the world revolves around him?
If so, then he'll fit right in!!!

Don't ever listen to someone who's first post is so negative. I mean, who doesn't like contests with your pets??

Allegiant HQ is a fine place to work simply speaking of working environment. Pay is generally on the lower side and we seem to have a revolving door in many offices, but we do have some very longstanding HQ employees.

I really think HQ QOL is very dependent on which office you're in. The fun factor in HR is quite different than the atmosphere elsewhere.

With that said, some of the cr@p that comes out of those offices is weird.

Have your friend go out to his yard. Grab a stone and squeeze all the blood out of it. Bring the stone to his interview and squeeze some more. Instantly hired.

Curious what you expect to hear about the management of an ULCC?

It is what it is. Paychecks don't bounce and no redeyes but pats on the back aren't forthcoming.

Good lord... you ask a bunch of pilots about what a HQ job would be like? Ha

Tell your friend to research online… Glassdoor or Careerbliss. It entirely depends on what type of job your friend wants… IT, HR, PR, ramper, etc.

There are no cubicles in HQ. CEO is sitting in the open with everyone else… kinda cool if you ask me. There’s a game room, food truck Tuesday, BBQ’s, yoga classes, etc. If your buddy judges the quality of a job on how many little benefits you get and extracurricular activities, he’ll probably enjoy it. If he likes a super well paying and low work job, keep looking.

I was just told that the window is open for pilots again and wanted to get someone's opinion on weather I should even bother.

1700TT, only 200 turbines, 450 multi crew/engine
Former Capeair F/O, left because I couldnt afford to stay. 10 years in military although not a mil pilot.

With that in mind should I just wait or do I have a chance? Thanks
