With the amount of money that allegiant is making these days to pay the pilots such deplorable pay rates is criminal.

By taking employment with such a ****ty airline only exacerbates the problem low wages and benefits.

What's with the multi day pairings in December?

While it doesn't include an overnight in my base, they are forcing us to work weekends by making a trip on Friday "multiday" with another trip the next day. So you can't just fly the CID turn on Friday, you have to now pair it up with another trip on Saturday.

Not sure I see why this makes any sense at all.

Are there specific bases that do the TDY assignments? Is it every month or just on rare occasion?

It's generally every month, and whichever base they think is "overstaffed."

My guess is they are testing the software. They are probably seeing how well (or not well) it does with multi day pairings. We will see this for the next few months so they can tweek the software appropriately so it handles multi day pairings. Then the real multi day pairings will start. My guess is the "home every night" claim they have will be ending sooner than later.

These new "multi day pairings" are actually just back-to-back one day pairings. You're still home at night.

Yes still home, but it limits your bid choice and forces you to fly the second day when you may have wanted to bid off.

I think overnights are just a matter of time. It may not hit all bases equally, but I think they are coming.
