Not much dead heading involved in day-to-day operations. Although that's changed in recent times.

What is the junior base? What are people getting awarded out of training? How long are people staying on reserve? Can one expect to get any base in a reasonable amount of time? Upgrade times?

According to APC, their most junior captain upgraded in less than a year. December 2014 hire.

Yeah the results are pretty hilarious

If they can't get you on Company to LAS, then yes, they put you on other airlines.

Although, you will be sent through Miami on AA if traveling from PIE, SFB or PGD even though there is a cheaper non-stop flight on SWA.

Do you suspect that is just company preference due to an arrangement with AA, or something else? For the individual that is flying I'd think most would prefer the non-stop SWA flight.

Whatever is the cheapest fare is the flight you'll be on. There is zero brand loyalty.

That's confusing, his comment said that they use AA even though SWA has a cheaper flight.
