Why do you all assume this is from our assessment pool? AR was pretty clear in what that was going to be used for.

This is more than likely, from Wilmington and 1224 cash. Chill out.

Having come from another carrier that (we - the pilot group) used public shaming. I can say it works. At our current level, management is annoyed. But I'm sure they are wondering how much further this is going to go. Our campaign went on to use full page ads in the Wall Street Journal and mass picketing at the share holders meeting. In the end it worked. We avoided needless concessions and got a reasonable contract.

Every part of our operation has been run strictly through cost vs benefit analysis. Unfortunately, management hasn't been able to account for every cost. Hence, the lawsuit this week by investors and (what they feel) an unjust campaign against them by the union.

These are growing pains for a maturing company. Management can learn from these mistakes, or double down to the detriment of everyone.

Are billboards going to compel g4 management, of course not. It’s part of the process. We’re negotiating now and setting the ground work for the next contract. Allegiant management is stubborn and set in their ways. The overall investment community is also the target. Allegiant needs outside investment. Management will always try to assure the outside public that there’s nothing going on with our pilots. The at large negative advertisements and our next large scale protest/picket march on the headquarters in Summerlin will not allow management to speak on our behalf.

That Summerlin headquarter location sits nicely on a very visible corner that is an embarrassment to management. The march we had demonstrated they could no longer speak for us, and spin/lie to the outside investors that everything was peachy with the pilots. And probably our ‘other’ tactics behind the scenes as well. After our picket on the Summerlin headquarters, that was when management beefed up all the armed security at hq. They clearly wet their pantys that day. Just have to do it again.

A strike vote was made many months ago over this. What’s the point of having one if you don’t follow through? Yep them billboards are much more effective.

Disregard, found it in the junk mail.

On a side note, anyone know what happened in court on the 6th?

Has anyone else noticed the change in the numbers of daily departures? We went from consistently adding roughly 10% to 15% more flights per day to negative growth. I think yesterday there were 35% less departures than the year prior. Not a good sign. There is never any encouraging news out of Vegas either.

No AQP, no new aircraft, no new routes, no international flights, no decent PBS and no hiring.

The total metrics for 2018 are still higher in regard to number of flights than they were in 2017. The more interesting number to me would be the number of passengers in 2017 vs 2018 on a day like yesterday. A Wednesday in early December is certainly not a busy travel day, so if it makes financial sense to fly less flights, then its a good business decision. We don't have all the data to solve this problem.

Some of these things are frustrating for sure, like the lack of AQP. I do think switching to AQP in the middle of a massive training/transition cycle would be a train wreck, so I'm willing to give them a year from the transition ending, then they have no excuse.

No international flights was always the plan as far as I know. They clearly have said they wanted to finish the transition first (OK, I guess were two weeks overdue), before implementing a new reservation system. Also part of that is the availability of aircraft to add new routes and international flying. I'm sure if you know of some CFM equipped 320s or 319s with double doors, that were reasonably priced, HQ would love to know about them. Considering that I've heard talks that consideration has even been given to IAE engines, I think they want airplanes, but don't know where to get them from.

International won't happen until they bite the bullet and switch over to one of the GDS systems. This is the same thing that Southwest had to deal with when they used a homebrew system, unfortunately they waited too long and had massive IT integration problems when they switched to Amadeus. Same thing will probably happen at G4.
