I think that is a political statement.

Here is what I think about how the election will affect the furlough.

Biden wins and Democrats take Senate: Stimulus is passed in January, Allegiant starts bringing pilots in March.

Trump wins and Republicans take Senate: they might even pass a stimulus in the lame duck session. Back sooner.

Biden wins and Republicans have the Senate, this is the worst case, no large stimulus. But an airline bail out could still be part of a much smaller package.

Basically I'm guessing by April for all except the too close to call civil unrest/civil war, Joint Chiefs of Staff decides who the president is scenario.

I think this is a little more likely, except for the last part. If Biden wins, I think the worst thing you’ll see is a national mask mandate. The President has virtually nothing to do with shutting down the economy. He may have some influence, but that’s a state and local issue

Why is that the worst thing? If there was such a mandate sooner there might have been less cases or not as big of spikes. Spikes means less passengers, means more furloughs. I do agree with your second point that not much is going to happen with Biden so you do seem to be able to have rational thinking so I’m curious why it’s the worst thing.

I’m not saying a mask mandate is a bad thing and I think one should have already been put in place.

I was speaking more to the crowd that has these ridiculous theories that Biden will shut down the whole country and force everyone to stay home and drug use and suicides will skyrocket. To those people, I’m saying that, in my opinion, the worst they should expect is a national mask mandate.

If you guys want to keep debating politics and masks, why not head over to the Delta or United forum and join their ****ing contests? I think all rational people are pretty sick of politics right about now. Take it outside.

Not really talking politics, I just addressed a few ridiculous theories regarding what may happen if one particular candidate wins, so I’m good with keeping the conversation right here, thanks anyway.

Not trying to stir the pot but just wanting know why posters on here are so adamant about returning to Allegiant. Rumor is Spirit will be hiring in the Spring and seems like 1000x better place to work. At least in regard to how management treats it's employees, and even pay.

If I was furloughed from Allegiant and treated the way people on here claim (and I know it's an anonymous b!tch board, everything must be taken with a grain of salt) I wouldn't want to work for a company like that. Take your Airbus type and be treated like a real pilot.

Bingo. All of my posts on here speak for themselves. I couldn’t be happier having left. It is night and day.
