I guess my point is why merge when experiencing 20-30% growth.

A merger wouldn’t be likely when hiring.

We're not merging anytime soon. It wouldn't make any sense.

When do mergers ever make sense. Ever been through one? They come when nobody expects it.

Also, do they send out TBNT's or just leave you in the dark?
I got a face to face later this month.

Just got a CJO with just over 2000 hrs total and 500TT/121. But I'm also military and to be honest, they didn't seem to be very focused on hours as much as leadership potential. They were more focused on what I did outside of just wiggling the stick. During the interview we talked more about my career and decision making ability.

Also learned that they are currently filling the 7 and 21 October classes now and those are the last for the year. They will resume with one last January and 2 in February but nothing slated yet after so it just may be that they are reaching capacity for now. Just the impression I got though.

That seems to match up with the hiring update email that was sent out earlier today. It definitely gave me the impression they were getting ready to wrap up the hiring. Unfortunately I think the rumors of hiring 250-300 were very much overblown. Hopefully they continue with small classes monthly going into next year though, if nothing else than for attrition.

You realize that 9 classes of 24 (2 a month in August, September and October, plus 1 in January and 2 in February) is 216 pilots in 7 months. That’s not way under the rumors. No one said that we were hiring 250-300 this calendar year.

I’ve heard plenty of people saying 250-300 out on the line, not saying it was on this message board. Also, I guess I should’ve been more clear that this rumor was usually followed by “end of this year” instead of by March next year. Anyway, guess we’ll see how it all unfolds. Nobody wants them to hire a boat load of people more than I do.
