They’re both pretty small statuses. I’m sure they change seasonally.

Jan:

777 - LHR, EZE, GRU, HAV, SCL, SJU, JFK, LAS

787 - BCN, TLV, GIG, LAX, GRU, MVD, DFW, ORD

A lot of those close in destinations are turns. HAV turns look like my dream job.

way more senior dudes on the 777. My relative seniority drops 20% as a middle of the list guy.

junior guys on property are 15200+ numbers

that’s a January 2018 and April 2018 hire for those without the super decoder ring.

Thanks for decoding that for us!

Any idea of date of hire for the same aircraft but DFW base?

As of the March 2023 vacancy…

777 Oct 2014
787 Oct 2016

Way quicker to be a NB CA in DFW. Over 1/3 the WB FO’s can hold WB CA at AA. This is not the place to come for quick WB flying, if that’s your desire.

Thanks guys, much appreciated! Im not in too big of a hurry for the wide body. I would just like to tick it off somewhere in my career! I have a good 30+ years left so narrow body for the first half then wide body for the second half of that would be perfect!

So in summary, it will take a bit longer to get to the widebody at AA but once there, upgrade will be quicker and you’ll finish with much better relative seniority than you would at delta. That about right?

There are about 1,000 WB CA jobs at AA. That number will obviously go up or down depending on what they do with the 777 fleet. Does anyone have the total number at Delta? If you want to live on the east coast or commute the LGA 777 CA plug is around 3200 seniority. If you want to be in DFW or LAX that number is more like sub 2000 seniority. All of those numbers will change in +-25 years when you have the seniority to hold group 4 CA. If WB CA is your goal you might want to consider UAL. Their baseline will be at least 200 WB aircraft (50 787s on property, 45 A350s ordered, 100 firm orders for 787s + 100 options). Not to mention their 777-300ERs.

Just for clarification proposes, UALs A350 order was placed by CAL management and they’ve been deferring taking deliveries since 2012. If I was a gambling man, I would bet those things are never showing up.
