Actually contracting that flying out reduces our liability. By a pretty big amount.

So APA released a five paragraph email that I can sum up in a single sentence:
"Republic changed how they are assigning jumpseats and there is nothing we nor AA management can do about it, but here's a phone number we just spent your dues money on to report it anyway".

Just received from APA-
“If you commute or travel on American Eagle flights operated by Republic Airways, their captains may tell the AA gate agents to change your priority for a flight-deck jumpseat from Standby List position to behind all other D6 travelers.”
I appreciate this being brought to my attention. I will make sure the RAH pilots are paid the same courtesy on my flights going forward.

Did you know there are airlines today with no outsourcing and all flying still at “main line?”

btw, that email is incorrect unless you incorrectly quoted it. You are not below D6, you are on par and it will be the time of check in with the gate agent up to one hour before to see who gets the jump seat. That will make it a truly reciprocal jumpseat agreement between AA and Republic.

Does Republic own those planes or does AA? I’ve been on Compass planes before and noticed certificate plaques showing AA as the owner, not Compass.

I think most Republic pilots are fine with that. Our priority will remain dead last as it always has been, meanwhile AA/WO will drop down to a truly reciprocal level. At least now Republic won't feel taken advantaged of.
