kudos for actually replying to someone who backed you in to a corner. Generally on here people just ignore the really “hard hitting” posts. That being said..........

You are essentially admitting his post is correct and yet still holding on to your complaints about the middle seat?

Spreading these opinions(I’m sure you have mentioned this stuff to your family who then tell friends and it runs from from there) will most certainly contribute to increasing furlough numbers at whichever airlines decide to furlough.

Here’s a short summary on what I gleaned from your post:

“I know it’s impossible to social distance on an airplane Given the measurements between seats I was presented with but it just “feels better” when the middle seat is empty. I’m going to push my company to book away from American or any other airline that fills middle seats.”

I’ll come back in a few months and let you know how it “feels” to be furloughed.

again may that never happen, been there , I wish I never posted this , note to self , never read APC pre coffee, God bless

Isn’t SOME space better than NO space? There’s nothing magic about 6 feet.

EXACTLY!!! you said it! Nothing magic about 6 ft and as said on here already by many many people, leaving the middle seat does not provide you with the magic 6ft distance from the row behind you, in front of you, across from you or even the other person in your row. Delta is doing it purely for the optics of it(I say Delta because they are the 1 of the big 3 still doing it). People all of a sudden want to have a private jet like experience for a round trip ticket of $350 bucks from CLT-MCO. GMAFB, that an't going to happen. We need to fill up seats and lots of them to make money and keep 100,000 plus people employed. The guy who is a pilot *****ing about flying on us is ridiculous, takes a real class act to come on an AA pilot msg board and ***** at us about what a ****ty job our company is doing and how he hates flying on us. Great, fine, go f yourself and fly on Delta, *****ing to us isnt going to change anything, but then again thats not why he posted it in the first place. I am so tired of the pilot from x company telling pilots from y company how eff-ed they are and how their company is better. News flash, how supposedly great your company is has NOTHING to do with you pulling up the gear handle or that sweet crosswind landing you did in AUS.

Well, I WAS super proud of my greaser with a 319 in CLT last week, and thought about starting a new thread about the subject.

GSW did have a sign that said “The greatest pilots in the world pass through these doors.” You’re saying I’m not the greatest?

The Chinese did a study from an event on a 737. A Covid 19 pax infected people as far away as 11 seats away. Middle seats open do nothing but give fat passengers more space. Wear a mask. Wash your hands. Don’t fly sick. My up and coming pay cut should not be used to minimize someone’s paranoia. Don’t fly if your scared. Drive. Only 35,000 Americans die each year from that.

Is it me or will people find any excuse to rip on AA? It’s getting old

But, they start or close every bashing post with the bs neutrality tag of, “I have friends over there and hope for the best.” Yeah, that’s like a person prefacing they aren’t racist before telling a racist joke. They just look like a complete idiot.

Didn't they remove the sign?

I want to humbly apologize for my post yesterday, I was wrong to post it , especially in this venue, every bit of criticism directed against me is apt, and warranted. GOD bless you guys, and girls, that is all.
