I've seen it quite a few times in the last few months. "Applied a couple weeks ago, still haven't heard anything" type of stuff. Instant gratification attitude.

I also don’t fit in any of the above categories. Waiting on a class date as well outside of the flow. I don’t think we are a majority by any means but it’s not as impossible as some make it out to be.

not impossible, 20% of spots seem to go to regular Joes. This is the number since August. I'll readjust next month when I get the new hiring stats.

Yeah all those class pictures of 40-60 people with 2-3 females? Have I even seen a person of color lately? The guys you can apparently tell are military or legacy just by a picture? The women and mil guys sure are taking up all the spots fairly earned by the basic pilot who has spent his career doing nothing to improve or showcase himself and just punched a clock every day then wonders why the recruiters don't notice him.

Question on LAX base - still junior for new hires? From what I have been reading that hasn't changed. What the frequency of NB redeyes from there? I am applying and will have a rather difficult commute but if reserve is short then may be worth it. West Coaster in a smallish town with only regional flights.
