I’ve heard 2-4 weeks, however I would imagine there would be a slight bottle neck with the holidays. I’ve also been told if you get the CJO you have the option to start class before your background checks clears or you can check a box to start once your background check has been completed.

I have heard of people not being offered the CJO at the interview, but getting one a week or two later. Did these people not quite meet the metrics or were borderline and had to be decided by the review board? Or was there some other hiccup?

Two quickies for those in the know please...
1) Has there been many newbies hired not coming from the WO pipeline?
2) Age wise, has anyone noticed anyone being hired in their 50s....
Thanks!

I think it’s mostly paperwork but it can also be a borderline situation where further review needs to take place.

AA and APA haven’t published any rough numbers yet. Anecdotally, the new hire classes have had a bunch of mil backgrounds, and quite a few from other airlines, SWA in particular.
