Can you blame him? Senior pilots who already have great QOL would have made out like bandits with that. They don't give a **** about younger pilots and their QOL. That is why there was such a strong Facebook campaign against it, somebody had to stand up for what is right and that TA was not it.

Hmm, how in the world did you come to that conclusion from my post?
The poster I was replying to said that "we have considerably gained in all the above." We haven't gotten anything yet and have this sickening feeling that the APA is going to let it slip through their fingers

You don't have a clue about my concern for the junior. My son is on the way up, I want better for him. I would have voted no on last years AIP.

I am a CKA, and the proposed section 12 changes would have paid a lot more, but they didn't do anything about the work load.
Tell me what you know about section 12. How is it terrible for me?

You would have been paid more to do a job you already do and seem to enjoy. Good for you. I was offering that up as a plausible reason you would have liked that overall garbage TA.
The great news is it appears that the next contract will vastly improve pay and QoL far beyond the fall TA.

I never said it was terrible “for you”. I said that overall it was pretty terrible. It’s definitely not at all appealing to me personally, and the numbers of CKA who have returned to the line certainly seem to indicate that I’m not alone.

There are a lot of factors on whether it is a good deal or not. Even for the those that it a pretty good deal(me), there are lots of trade offs.
The premium game has driven a lot of the returns.
We now have a CKA on the negotiating committee, so that's good.
We still have a lot of leverage with the CKA, but it is not limitless and is time limited.
