I don't think we're unified enough for it to make sense. What message does it send when our peers vote 95+% to strike and we vote 59%? I want to be optimistic, but I just had three senior guys (one check airman) on the flight deck say we need to accept a deal yesterday, and it's BS that the young guys are willing to vote no while having decades left to reap the benefits of seniority progression at the expense of those close to retirement.

Thanks for bring this up.
I have over 3 decades and my QOL isn't stellar-some by my choice, some not. But it's funny that the more junior throw stones at the senior for voting for what is important to them...while voting for what is important to themselves.
There aren't a whole lot of truly altruistic airline pilots out there.

A strike vote when we haven't even asked for arbitration. Yeah, that'll have Isom quaking in his boots.
Were Delta pilots in mediation when they took their strike vote?

It’s not done. Not even close.
Another reason Isom posted this- he knows AA has been dragging their feet and it’s been documented by APA. He knows that if/when APA files for mediation, APA has tons of evidence of the company stalling. He can now go to the mediator and say “I sent a video to the pilots. Not my fault they’re greedy and want work rule improvements. I’m not dragging my feet, they are!”.
Read between the lines.

The previous NC got an AIP that contained most of what it was tasked to get. The APA walked aways from it when? October? And is just now getting back to it. Who was dragging their feet?

Yep, and ZERO communication from APA. I'm hoping we're at least given details on the company offer before a strike vote.

My new hire class during the union dinner last week was told next would be arbitration if nothing happens by the end of March. Also made it seem like APA had little faith in a strike vote passing over 80%. So something must of changed in the last 8 days.

Perhaps it had something to do with your CEO thumbing his nose at APA and negotiating in public…
