One can hope Al..

The company gets us on this horrible year 1 pay for a few extra months with the current system..also would put around 80 folks on the airways side hired after I started in front of myself and my classmates based on when we started indoc and actually finished training.

I agree..to save the confusion we need to just go to the seniority on day of indoc.

I would think (hope) that those on the AA side would recognize this and those on the Airways side would use a mutual DOH. I would hope no union is trying to pull a rug over the other, but you never know.

DOH should be date of hire, first day of class, it's not hard but like everything it seems AA (management) makes it more complicated than it needs to be .

I would think everyone hired after merger announcement date will be slotted DOH by first day on property.

American's interview was very pleasant. It's easy to be prepared (to include the video interview) and everyone is very excited to have you and the others there (or at least they seem to be). It felt as though once you make it to the in person interview, you are hired unless you show up unprepared or do some really silly stuff during the process. I almost hesitate to say it, but it was actually pretty easy.

I thought so too. The hardest part is getting the video interview. Once you make it to the F2F, they already know your personality through the assessment and the video interview. I think it's pretty efficient in that most people who make it to Dallas make it through the F2F and they don't have to waste a bunch of money flying people and putting them up in a hotel and not hiring them. The pass rate is pretty good and it was more like a conversation than an interview-it was probably one of the most pleasant interviews I've had and everybody is excited to have you. I haven't been through Delta's interview process but we've all heard about it and it is NOTHING like that.

Please don't feed the troll. If you ask a question like that you haven't read one of the posts explaining the process at American.

Default Pilot Credentials Assessment

A question about retaking the assessment on the AA Pilot Credentials website.

A buddy's application let him retake the assessment after 6 months. However, my application did not. Its been 9 months and I've always had the green check mark for the assessment on the checklist. When I click on it, it says "Completed".

Does anyone have any insight as to why his reset for a retake and mine has not? Neither of us received the TBNT emails.

Thanks

He probably did get the email and just didn't see it or it went to spam. It comes from "support department".

That is a recent change that has just been announced for new hires.
A few may new hires (already on property) on the AA side may loose a couple of weeks in seniority but I think it will be a wash because of how fast things will be moving in the very near future.
