Thank you in advance.
It's just a recorded series of question and timer that records your response. The details are in this thread. You just need to read the entire thread to see them.

Nobody here knows the answer to that question. And, those who do know aren't talking on here. But, name one airline anywhere that gives new hires the ability to "defer" or "not take" an assigned aircraft or base. You figure that out and you'll answer your own question.

I absolutely feel like I am a new hire at AA because of my attendance at WIA. I have heard the same things about OBAP so, give it a shot. It might really make a difference. If I hadn't gone, perhaps I would still be waiting for an email??? FWIW.
Ditto. Go. WIA and OBAP pull all so many companies in, you'll get to talk to more in one day than in 3 months of job fairs. I got hired by 2 legacy carriers, and I strongly suspect the timing was due to job fair/WIA attendance. OBAP will be well worth your time.

I would imagine they will let you know pretty quick what side they are hiring you to...and if you say no, then they'll probably just move on to the next guy/gal.

Why would you defer an Airways spot? Just curious.

Similarly to some other airline threads about hiring, can some of you guys getting more recent f2f interviews share your stats (as far as a quick summary of your experience)?

I realize some of that is buried in here, but just trying to keep track of the most recent trends. Really excited that an opportunity may be on the horizon for those that want it!

Even if you could defer, why would you? You'd just loose seniority. I'm US side and can't wait to be able to bid ORD/DFW/PHX for a closer commute. In the mean time I'll live with my longer commute to PHL. I know plenty of Transcontinental commuters (I'm guessing you'd be in this category), some former PSA guys have done it for 25 years. Others are new hires who, like me look forward to a better commute someday.

Because he's stupid or arrogant, or both.

That probably would have been a generic "with a resume like yours you should get a call" statement vs a "you WILL get called shortly".
