ERJF15 and Subliminal Congrat's and welcome! It's a great time to get on. Things are getting better. August starts the new reserve system and is much better than the past.
I hear great things about the training for new hires and flow thru's.
I am part of the mentor program (now called Compass program). If you have any Q's feel free to personal message me.
After your basic indoc, your mentor will contact you and give you a complete welcome letter explaining where everything is and if it's me i'll send you a complete "Computer codes for new hires" with every code you need to get thru IOE and onward.
For the military or civilian guys the AQP program in effect since 2003 at AA is great. No systems Oral. You do it on a computer. 1 hour at the most.
When I went to the 767 in 2001, my oral was with a asst chief pilot in DFW he was a D*&%$. 4:15 four hours and fifteen minutes. He walks in and says " I do my orals differently, thus 4:15." He had memorized page numbers and would have me look things up and then read aloud, I'm so glad he did that (sarcasm) reminded me of reading Go Dogs Go to my Mom and Dad.

Well, I am excited! Got the F2F interview request today. I applied right when the window opened last year, got the TBNT e-mail in December, re-took the assessment June 30, did the video interview on July 4, got the additional info request on the 11th.
Civilian, just over 8,000TT, no 121 time but plenty of PIC jet time.
I was wondering if anyone has any information on what to expect for the Pilot Skills Test (PST). I see it is the whole first day of the interview but I don't know what this is going to cover. Is it technical questions that I can study for or some sort of skills evaluation that you just do and hope for the best? I feel prepared for the HR/TMMT style questions but I don't know what to expect for the testing.

Testing? Can't study for it. Button pushing, knob twisting, while chewing gum and sratching your head type of stuff.
You WILL fail during the test. If you're doing well it gets harder. Reports are that it is tiring so show up well rested. Getting in the day before, and not on the last flight, is tilting the deck in your favor.
Good luck.

As for the PST, some weird "games" that are moderately to very difficult. Just keep trying and don't give up!

Hello Everyone!
Hope all is well, make sure you enjoy the weekend!
So, the "pins and needles" are starting to poke a bit harder if you know what I mean! I did the Video Interview Sunday 7/20 and I'm still waiting for any type of correspondence (ie "Add info" email). Just found out someone I know did the Vid Interview a few days after me, and got the "Add Info" email last night.
Should I be worried? I know I'm still within the timeline, heck, it's only been 6 days, but everyone here knows how the mind works...
Thanks everybody.
