I used Utah Valley University. It was 11 years ago, but it was about as painless as a degree can be.

What are they charging per unit now? It was $120/credit hour when I graduated but that's before they became a university.

I went to a traditional university.

I think that many airlines prefer a standard college experience. Just saying that an online degree is a heck of a lot better than none.

College is also a perfect time to learn some actual marketable skills outside of aviation. If some terrible terrorist event happens or if you have a medical issue, you may need those skills.

-Some of the best aviation advice I have ever heard:
"Don't be in too big a hurry. Enjoy what you are doing while you are doing it-you will look back fondly on your early days of flying."

I was just told the 11 guys that started a couple weeks ago were initially awarded the AB but then changed to 190, any truth to this?

If so, anyone here why the company did this?

My guess is that they are coming up on the 12 month limit to hold guys that have bid off the 190. If that is the case the 190 is about to hemorrhage a bunch of guys to the 320 and the 190 is already understaffed both CA and FO. Makes sense that all new hires will be coming to the 190 for the foreseeable future on the LUS side.
