Professional Advice

I was hoping I could get some advice from some of you that have been flying with AA or have gotten hired recently?

I'm currently active duty Army, set to retire late next year. 3600 TT, 2000 RW, 1600 MEFW (all King Airs), 1600 total PIC, 1050 MEFW PIC. Bachelors degree and ATP.

What do I need to do in order to distinguish myself from everyone else in hopes of getting hired on with a Major or even possibly a Legacy airline? I know of several people from the Army that have applied with the likes of American and Delta, Jet Blue and Southwest, and some got hired and some didn't even get interviews, and for the life of me, I can't understand why one person made it and another couldn't even get in the door.

I doubt it, since the SIL is supposed to be complete before the spring and will most likely go into effect by the fall.

Movement on the hiring front. Just had 2 buddies today get F2F invites for 6-7 Jan. Now if we could just get a classdate for us in the pool, that would be awesome.

Rumot I heard was everyone going to the AA side. I guess we'll find out soon enough if its true or not. CP's don't really have the best intel I've found.
