F/A instructor told me 2400 F/A newhires in 2014. 2400 or 2700, either number shows a training ramp up. 2013 was approx. 2100.

Pilot hiring isn't linked 1:1 to F/A's as a significant portion of their hiring is to replace the recent early out retirees and to get prepared for the openly mentioned, but not officially announced, F/A early out program for 2014.

I hope they up the buyout for the f/a's. I remember Delta used look like Jurassic park but then offered a buyout and all the "senior" girls finally retired. Now all I see are young, new flight attendants at delta.

When did you apply and how long before they gave you that letter. I have always heard that 10000 tt was not a good thing for some reason

When did you apply and when did you get that email?

I think everyone who applied had to have applied in October. The TBNT emails went out last tuesday

Some video interview invites went out last week, next round of face-to-face interviews are January 8/9. At least that's all of which I am aware...'course I could be wrong.

I finished my application around October 8 and haven't heard a peep since. No video invite and no TBNTs.

I agree with a theory I've seen posted in one of these threads. The people who got emails last week were more than likely picked by the computer for further review, but were denied for some other reason (probably the personality survey). That means the rest of us haven't heard anything because our application has never been reviewed.

I got neither, and i'm feeling pretty good about that. Like I said before, no news is good news. They're still picking from the cream of the crop right now, which could take a few more months. Also still trying to come in through the back door as well (USair)
