Really they are neck and neck, depends on exactly which month you are looking at and exactly where you are on the list. Lately PHL has been really cranking through the seniority numbers due to people bidding over to the widebodies.

People are bidding over to the wide bodies from everywhere in the system. From what I see, DC is still the quickest path to a line in the AB.

This is not wise advice.

For me, short call reserve was a QOL killer. In DCA I'd still be way down the list on short call, where as in PHL I'm a long call. Combined with the 50+ unfilled slots in PHL on the latest vacancy, I can't see how DCA offers a faster progression off short call.

IMO, unless you can't commute on the 12 hour call out for long call, I'd much rather be a long call reserve than a very junior secondary block holder in most cases.

Default Fastest QOL?

You've got a point about those vacancies in PHL. That's an insane amount!

When were you hired?

Indoc to PHL AB long call was 6 mos for me. 12 hr call out...18+ hrs 90% of the time means you can be at home on reserve from most cities....
