A negotiated settlement is the only way for both of us to get what we want.
It's time for Doug to pay us what he can afford.

Will the LUS new hire seat lock go down to 6 months to match AA's? Im dying to be based in PHL and bid short call, but since I live local to PHL would a320 be a better play for short call since the staffing is better and I'd probably fly a whole lot less? I have absolutely no desire to hold a line ever in my career, I just want days off and to fly 30 to 40 hrs a month max.

For example, on the 320, if most of the trips leave mid-to late afternoon and have a few legs or a flight out to the west coast, an early morning RAP would leave you illegal for a lot of those trips. Of course, your mileage may vary. I'm a commuter and prefer to fly more on reserve (or bid Long Call).

On the 320 this month shorts are flying way more than longs.
However in the spring I went 26 days without flying. On short bid the 1900 or 2100 RAP and you will rarely fly. It's a pretty good lifestyle if you live in base.

Only reason I say stay off the 190 first year is it's perpetually understaffed so you'll end up working more.
