It's been about a week since the last post, anyone have any new insightful info regarding available classes, demographic for the class-ups (furloughs, flows, new hires, etc)? Anyone know how many poolies left from June and/or July?

Diesel had a good post on the other thread that gives some insight for us poolies:
Tough times with all the recalls, Envoy, PSA, Piedmont pilots. I'm starting to wonder if any "street hires" will ever get class! 
My class has had 5 now get the call, all PSA.
Saw a contact from flight admin and asked about upcoming classes. One starts tomorrow and then 2 are planned for Nov and 1 in Dec. The breakdown for the first nov class will be 28 folks mainly flows/recalls and only 1 off the street. Second nov class will have folks going mainly to airways side regardless of where the candidate interviewed. Same for the DEC class.
Don't be that person that just cancelled short notice on them when finding out they only had the option to be on the airways side..not a good move .
Subject to change but that's the latest and greatest hear.. On our side (AA) training is the bottleneck currently.

Late July int group has already had 2 street hires called for early nov class. 1 had sept class and 1 took US from prior int. don't know about any calls for late nov class. Did hear rumor the focus was in recalls and flows from envoy. Are the US folks flows or just pref hiring? Either way hang in there.

Hi all, this may seem a bit off thread context, but it's kind of an AA poolie question...
Is there any ground instructor position that may eventually turn into crew member spot? (Instruct for say 2 years and if still hiring become eligible for fo position.)
Thinking you could put a definite time line on 'getting called'...a back up plan if you're just a simple tprop guy.

The PSA folks have a "preferential interview" agreement but also a quota on how many are put in class for the year. PDT guys I believe have a small flowthrough. I think that's why you are seeing those groups go first, fulfilling contract obligations. I may be wrong, it's the chatter within the street hire groups!

AA Class Date
Some movement on the AA side with at least a handful of us from the early July interview group getting offers for a Dec 2 Indoc class. It was a nice surprise given the expectation of not hearing till January.
