Is there that much stigma against US Airways? I know it wasn't the best place to be pre-merger, but what are the reservations against taking the class on the Airways side? I suppose I could see bases, if you live in a current AA base it would suck for a year, or so, but the way these posts are written it doesn't sound like that is the case.

I like it on the LUS side just fine, pretty laid back, easy training, great Jumpseat reservation system.
Personally, when I was talking to airline friends (DAL/UAL//AA/SWA guys) about applying to either company (14 months ago), Literally everyone told me not to apply to either airline because they both suck. I'm glad I didn't listen, as I'd still be waiting for a call from another airline. Point is, both sides have there pros and cons. Won't matter in a few years.
So, are they offering a side and letting guys decline and wait for the other side? Or if you decline do you loose the offer completely.

Really guys everyone take a deep breath. I am excited about the future and the new AA. My hesitation was only due to fact i live in an AA base. I was LUS in past and even then when i lived in PHL was never able to be based there. Looking to get away from commuting. There is still a divide at east v west and they cant bid into each others bases. Fences are nothing new at airlines during mergers...question is how long they can last.... I am not bad mouthing anyone or anything regarding LUS but i was there already so it'd be my experiences that guide me. Simply a comment about living where you work and nothing more. We are all working hard looking for these positions and kudos to all to make it this far. We will all be in an exciting place very soon. Fly safe everyone...

I already accepted the day I got the call. I know the importance a day makes for sure. Thanks

I guess a few were called this week for November class dates and going to the Airways side. Including some September interviewees. I can't figure out how the classes are being dealt considering there are July guys sitting and waiting. The only consistency seems that a vast majority are PSA pilots. Possibly satisfying flow-through requirements?
Interesting!
