TAKE THE CLASS!! TAKE THE NUMBER!! I CANNOT STRESS HOW IMPORTANT THIS IS!!

Anyone hired today and beyond will be slotted in by date of hire, so which side you're on won't really matter all that much. We'll be one big, happy family soon enough. Waiting a couple of months for a class date on one side or the other can be career suicide. One number means a lot in the airline world. The sooner you get your number, the better off you'll be.

Take the USAir class and don't look back. Our training is great and our people are great to fly with.

Training is at MAX capacity. Sim are running almost 24/7 with crews (less MX and contract no training times). I do not think its flow through obligations. As I was told, NEW classes are on hold till they can get caught up. There are a lot of people done with Indoc waiting to start aircraft training. That's $$$$ the company does not want to burn by continuing to clog up the pipeline at the start of the pipe. Only so many can get through, with recurrent, requals, instructor recurrent (and some new instructors being trained as well), upgrades, current pilots swapping equipment, and then the new hirers. Want to why the calls for interviews and hiring are not going out as fast.....here's why.

IF GET A CLASS ON LUS SIDE GO!!!!! No reason to fret about it, it's the same company now. Just getting the details worked out. The longer you hold out, the farther down a list of 13000+ pilots you will go.

Delta and United are backing up too. Welcome to the new normal....except it's going to get worse.

Geez, take the first offer! It's the same company for 90%+ of your career.

Say AA stops hiring in Dec for a year? Wish you'd have taken the US class?

Or you get injured Jan 1st. A year injury. With the Nov class you're golden. Waiting for the Jan 2015 class and it might suddenly become 2016 and 1000 guys ahead of you.

Go.....yesterday.

That depends. If you're going to be senior to me then you should definitely defer until the AA side calls. If junior.....then by all means accept the offer!!!!

Side note...is seniority on the Airways side by DOB, SS#, alphabetical, etc...?

I am an early July interview and got the same email from AA as Veeone2. I took the November 4th offer. I told them to count me in! I had reservations too but in the end it'll all be the same either way. Getting in now gets me a guaranteed seniority number and that much closer to 2nd year pay. I totally understand why people may choose to bypass the offer but personally I have experienced the negative effects of being junior in seniority on many occasions and I would hate to look back in a few years and think "(expletive)! If only I would have...". But that's just me. Looking forward to starting the rest of my career.

Well, if you get the US side, bid the 320/CLT and I'll trade you MIA.

I think everyone on here will tell you regardless of which "side" you get offered...GO, and go yesterday. Like Slice said, it's the same company for the most part!

There are minor scheduling differences, but by the time you get on board and get through training, those differences will be gradually fading away. Seriously, you'll have about a year at most of having any real differences. The only wildcard is the SLI, which for anyone hired after the merger, it will primarily only affect when you'll be able to bid to AA bases and equipment. Your (and my) seniority will more than likely be DOH.
